Big Block Dyno Package

Currently Under Development

This package is being developed to be the most powerful 'true bolt on' aluminum wedge head/intake combination available for the money.  Excellent for the serious street/strip effort, for engines in the 450 to 500 cubic inch range. This package is based on a Max Wedge port aluminum Mopar head for the following advantages:

bulletThe intake and exhaust ports are raised up in the head 3/4 of an inch, this is a proven power producer over other heads, such as all stock heads, along with the Indy and Edelbrock heads which also have a lower port design.
bulletThe spark plug is angled further to the exhaust valve compared to other heads, putting the tip of the spark plug at the optimum position for combustion and out of the way of the wet fuel flow. Also, spark plug to header clearance is increased nicely, especially with TTI brand headers.
bulletThe combustion chamber has the latest technology for swirl and has a large amount of quench area for detonation resistance.
bulletUses stock valve train geometry, although a set of offset intake rockers are required, due to the wider than stock port. Hughes 11/32 stem valves are also installed.

This bolt on package is being developed by Frederick Enterprises and one of the premier head porting services in the country. This porting service was an in house contractor working with factory engineers on the Dodge NASCAR start-up and was instrumental on putting Dodge`s on the front row at Daytona.

Currently, this will soon be tested on a stroker engine based on the 400 low deck block. Two intake styles will be tested, a single plane 4Bbl. and a factory Six Pack, which will be highly modified to achieve a Max Wedge port Six Pack intake! This is accomplished through a lot of runner welding, chemical porting and then hand porting. This intake will be tested with a Frederick Enterprises 500 C.F.M. center carburetor (see specialty parts for more info)providing 1500 C.F.M. on a dual plane intake.

During testing, different cam profiles will be tried. Currently, testing will be done with hydraulic rollers. The most powerful cam designs tested will then also be available. Basically, anyone with a well built short block assembly can bolt on this top end package and know they are are getting a thoroughly tested combination and can easily duplicate the power numbers.

Once again, by starting with a head with the best features, flow testing and porting done by a premier service and dyno testing, all combined gives the serious enthusiast a premium bolt on package.
